Research and the IPCC

Fundamental research is indispensable for understanding and reducing the risks of climate change.

ExxonMobil's scientists have been intensively studying and analysing climate change for more than 40 years. They regularly publish their findings on topics that include the global carbon cycle, identifying and controlling climate change, low-carbon technologies, and analyses of future scenarios for energy and climate in order to expand public awareness of climate change. Our scientists also participate actively in the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and numerous similar institutions.
More information about ExxonMobil’s climate research is available on the corporate blog Perspectives.
